Role Overview
The President acts as the top executive of the company, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the parent holding entity. Tasked with steering the strategic direction, overseeing operational effectiveness, ensuring financial performance, and nurturing company culture, this leader is crucial to advancing growth in the auto refinance sector. Responsible for managing a team of 100-150 employees and driving $30 million in revenue, the role focuses on optimizing lead acquisition costs, conversion rates, and managing a network of aftermarket solution providers.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s multi-year strategic plan aligned with the holding company's portfolio targets.
- Lead annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting; regularly communicate these updates to the COO and corporate leadership.
- Discover new market opportunities such as new lender alliances, geographical reach expansion, and diversification of products within the auto refinance market.
- Promote a culture emphasizing innovation, accountability, and continuous growth.
Operational and Financial Oversight
- Hold full responsibility for the company's profit and loss, managing revenues, profit margins, costs, and vital performance metrics.
- Ensure operational excellence across loan origination, underwriting, servicing, compliance, and customer experience.
- Supervise all department heads—including Operations, Sales, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and HR—and drive accountability for achieving goals.
- Monitor regulatory changes and market trends to adapt products and processes proactively.
Business Development and Partnership Management
- Establish and nurture connections with credit unions, banks, dealers, and indirect lenders.
- Expand lender networks through negotiation of favorable terms on rates and volumes.
- Serve as the company’s public representative at industry events, regulatory meetings, and media interactions.
Talent Management and Organizational Culture
- Recruit, develop, and retain executive and management talent.
- Foster a high-performing culture grounded in company values and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with HR on compensation strategies, succession planning, and building organizational capability.
Holding Company Reporting and Compliance
- Report regularly to the COO on performance metrics, risk factors, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to financial, legal, regulatory, and governance standards mandated by the holding company.
- Contribute to portfolio-level strategic planning and participate in collaborative leadership forums as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline mandatory.
- Fifteen or more years of advancing leadership experience within auto finance, consumer lending, fintech, or similar financial services sectors.
- Proven track record of P&L responsibility at companies generating $25 million or more in revenue preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of auto refinance and indirect lending market dynamics, including rate structures, lender partnerships, and consumer behaviors.
- Experience scaling operational teams within growth-stage or private equity/holding company frameworks.
- Strong financial literacy to analyze and leverage complex financial reports.
- Successful history of cultivating executive leadership and succession planning.
Additional Expertise
- Background in reporting within subsidiary or portfolio company models to holding companies.
- Familiarity with pertinent federal and state consumer lending regulations, including those enforced in Colorado (CFPB, TILA, ECOA).
- Advanced qualifications such as an MBA are highly valued.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives in lending, involving AI underwriting or fintech system integrations.
Compensation
The position offers an annual salary ranging between $250,000 and $300,000.
