Role Overview

The Post Office Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering comprehensive retail postal services including courier shipments, postal boxes, money transfers, and parcel handling to Shoppers Drug Mart patrons. The role aims to maximize revenue generation for the department while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and exemplify company CORE Values to motivate Post Office personnel.
• Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations for new staff members.
• Ensure compliance with store standards by all Post Office cashiers.
• Provide thorough training, ongoing coaching, and clear instructions to employees regarding their roles.
• Assist with performance evaluations of the Post Office cashier team alongside the Front Store Manager (FSM).
• Guarantee that exceptional customer service exceeds expectations.
• Maintain appropriate professional appearance of employees adhering to the Uniform Policy.
• Oversee loss prevention procedures, ensuring all systems are in place and followed.
• Ensure proper adherence to parcel inspection protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to make independent decisions based on customers’ needs by asking relevant questions to reach suitable resolutions.
• Proven experience in retail environments with cash handling responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Efficient time management along with effective organizational and planning capabilities.

Working Conditions

The position requires availability for flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Employment Details

• Full-time permanent role.
