Overview

The Portfolio Analyst role within the Consumer Banking Credit division based in Gurugram is responsible for overseeing the performance management of retail assets, particularly focusing on Loan Against Property (LAP) credit products. This position involves continuous tracking of portfolio health, delinquency control, and providing analytical support to business decisions using data insights. The role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and acts as a liaison between various departments including Business, Risk, Credit, Legal, and Regulatory to maintain governance and audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze portfolio metrics such as outstanding amounts, delinquency rates categorized by DPD buckets, loan flow, NPA levels, and emerging trends.
  • Create and deliver management information system (MIS) dashboards on daily, weekly, and monthly frequency for senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the timely review and renewal process of policies, product programs, and SOPs aligning with internal governance timelines by coordinating with credit, product, and business units.
  • Develop and maintain effective tracking tools or dashboards to monitor policy and document updates.
  • Ensure compliance of all policy, product programs, and SOPs with RBI regulations, circulars, notifications, and guidelines related to retail loan products including credit cards and personal loans.
  • Interpret and incorporate new regulatory requirements into operational processes, policy documents, and product programs promptly.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date repository of regulatory guidelines applicable to retail asset products.
  • Manage the accurate and punctual submission of periodic and special reports to RBI as per prescribed formats and collate data for various regulatory audits and requests.
  • Track regulatory observations from RBI RAR/RMP audits and ensure resolution within stipulated timelines.
  • Prepare management review reports for Risk Management Committees, Credit Committees, and Senior Management in the form of dashboards, detailed reports, or newsletters and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular compliance testing on retail loan products to verify adherence to regulations and internal controls, identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective measures, and follow up on issue resolution collaboratively with other teams.

Educational Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA with specialization in Finance, Risk Management, or equivalent fields.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional experience within retail asset management functions such as policy formulation, credit underwriting, compliance, risk management, or control roles in banking or Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) environments.
