Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the hotel's plumbing systems, fixtures, and related equipment.
• Identify and resolve plumbing-related problems such as leaks, clogs, water pressure issues, and drainage faults.
• Carry out installation and replacement of pipes, valves, faucets, pumps, water heaters, and sanitary fittings as necessary.
• Adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule to ensure system reliability and longevity.
• Ensure proper operation of water supply systems, drainage, sewage, and irrigation setups.
• Provide prompt responses to plumbing-related maintenance requests originating from guest rooms and hotel departments.
• Minimize interruptions to hotel activities during repair and maintenance tasks.
• Work collaboratively with other Engineering team members for maintenance activities and renovation projects.
• Be available for emergency plumbing maintenance on a 24-hour basis when assigned.
• Follow all safety protocols, hotel policies, and local regulations rigorously.
• Ensure safe handling and proper storage of plumbing tools, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain tidy and organized workshops and workspaces.
• Immediately report any safety risks or hazards to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Conduct routine system and equipment inspections to monitor functionality.
• Track water consumption and suggest ways to conserve resources.
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records, completing work orders promptly.
• Contribute to energy and water conservation initiatives implemented by the hotel.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
• Ensure all plumbing activities comply with Fairmont brand standards to support a positive guest experience.
• Address guest plumbing concerns efficiently and courteously.

Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of high school or possession of a technical/vocational certificate in Plumbing or a related discipline.
• At least 2 to 3 years of plumbing experience, ideally within hotels, resorts, or commercial facilities.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems including water distribution, drainage, pumps, and sanitary equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals accurately.
• Basic familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as needed.
