Planning Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Planning Engineer to join our team. This position is available for part-time or full-time engagement and offers flexibility between working on-site in Dubai or remotely, contingent upon project requirements and candidate location.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and monitor project schedules utilizing leading planning software tools.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to ensure projects proceed according to plan.
• Track project progression, identify scheduling risks at an early stage, and devise mitigation or recovery strategies to maintain established timelines.
• Generate periodic time-sensitive reports for management and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines to align resources and schedules with contractual milestones.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date planning documentation compliant with company policies and local regulatory standards.
• Assist in the preparation of tender and bid submissions by providing preliminary schedule information.
• Manage coordination with site teams and stakeholders seamlessly across different time zones, especially for remote work scenarios.
• Be prepared for occasional travel or on-site presence in Dubai depending on specific project phases.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in planning and scheduling, experienced with Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction workflows, project lifecycles, and integration of engineering, procurement, and field operations.
• Strong analytical capabilities to forecast timelines, assess risks, and suggest pragmatic mitigation approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams and deliver schedule updates remotely or face-to-face.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational competencies to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Professional planning or project controls certifications are advantageous.
• Prior experience as a Planner or in project controls within the construction sector, preferably within the Middle East region.
• Remote candidates must have stable internet connectivity and possess strong self-management for cross-time-zone collaboration.
