Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Promote a totally incident-free workplace through fostering a strong safety culture.
- Ensure excellent Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance by staff, contractors, and collaborators under the Lead Static's supervision.
- Maintain strict adherence to HSE laws, company policies, and best practices relevant to your area to safeguard personnel and the environment.
- Offer expert first-line mechanical support within the Static team focusing on piping, valves, and vessels aligned with company strategy and goals.
- Review vendor proposals for piping parts, specialties, and valves, and prepare clear scopes of work.
- Develop requisitions for quotations, technical queries, conduct bids evaluation, draft purchase specs, and review/approve valve vendor documentation.
- Assist inspection teams with approval of vendor documents and procedures including pressure testing, painting, welding, and packing/preservation.
- Guide valve selection considering materials, trims, operators, and suitable actuator applications based on process requirements, cost, environment, and integrity factors.
- Review and approve datasheets and vendor submissions for valves and piping specialties.
- Provide timely piping engineering support and troubleshooting assistance to various departments, contribute to project concept development and piping design reviews.
- Create and maintain procedures and guidelines guaranteeing safe, uniform piping designs compliant with internal requirements and international standards.
- Select piping components and assess their use under abnormal conditions; devise solutions addressing design, material, environmental, cost, and integrity challenges.
- Ensure pipe support standards are properly applied, familiar with industry safety and integrity codes, and endorse design audits and company operational and reliability standards.
- Deliver technical and administrative support related to valves and pressure safety valves (PSVs) to onsite operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- At minimum, completion of Higher Secondary School Education complemented by a three-year technical diploma such as HNC, HND, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in oil & gas or petrochemical sectors, including a minimum of 5 years offshore on-field equipment exposure.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities alongside solid computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office suite.
- High school diploma or technical certification in a related discipline is required.
- Extensive recent practical experience (10+ years) in petrochemical, refining, oil/gas exploration, or production industries within a similar role.
