Job Overview

PepsiCo Beverages Canada is seeking a full-time Millwright to join their maintenance team for the Calgary facility working night shift hours. This position offers a wage of $45.70 per hour along with additional overtime opportunities and a night shift premium of $1.65 per hour. The shift runs Sunday to Thursday, 9pm to 5:30am. Key Responsibilities

The Millwright will be responsible for routine maintenance and repairs of manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems within the Pepsi bottling plant. Duties include inspecting machinery for proper functionality, conducting preventive mechanical maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment issues. The role also supports electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, changeovers, new installations, and mentoring junior technicians.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess an Industrial Millwright certification with Red Seal endorsement; applications without this specified certification will not be considered.
  • Must successfully pass a technical assessment covering critical maintenance knowledge areas.
  • Strong background working with mechanical components such as chains, belts, sprockets, and bearings including installation and tensioning.
  • Practical experience with electronic devices including level probes, flowmeters, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Ability to interpret product manuals to guide repairs and maintenance.
  • Proficient with machine shop tools like lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and diagnostic capabilities for machinery.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
