About the Opportunity

TGJones is committed to building a robust and enduring future for the organisation, focusing on the delivery of a reliable and valued retail offering. As a People Coordinator, you will have the chance to contribute to continuous organisational growth while developing your own HR career within a supportive team environment.

Role Overview

The People Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting colleagues throughout the business by handling a broad spectrum of HR administrative processes. Based at the Swindon Support Centre, with a hybrid model requiring three days a week in the office, you will serve as a key team member in ensuring HR operations run smoothly and efficiently, with duties extending to joining and leaving processes, managing employee wellbeing initiatives, performance, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle comprehensive People Administration tasks such as preparing appointment letters, contracts, overseeing secondments, and managing probation periods and inductions for new employees.
  • Coordinate essential HR compliance activities, including tracking absence, overseeing maternity leave, managing leavers, and executing other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain personnel data with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance with legal standards, including GDPR.
  • Administer the People team inbox, providing prompt and helpful responses to employee inquiries.
  • Assist with weekly People team updates and compile monthly data reports to support decision-making.
  • Safeguard confidential personnel records and information, always adhering to company and data protection policies.
  • Contribute to ad hoc HR projects as needed.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in HR or People administrative positions is required.
  • Possess strong abilities in prioritisation, planning, and staying organised within a high-volume environment.
  • Confident communication skills and capability to cultivate productive professional relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information are essential.
  • Skilled at thriving in a fast-changing workplace and meeting quick turnaround times.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is a must.

Benefits and Additional Information

  • Reduced work hours on Fridays, finishing at 4pm.
  • 24 days' annual leave in addition to public holidays, plus your birthday as an extra day off.
  • Option to participate in a holiday trading scheme, and access to family-friendly leave policies.
  • Employee discounts, free coffee every Wednesday, and additional perks available.

Inclusivity & Diversity

TGJones values inclusion and the celebration of diverse backgrounds and experiences. All applications are welcomed and candidates requiring adjustments throughout the recruitment process will receive support as needed.
