Overview
This role is for a People Analytics Lead located in the United States, responsible for building and leading a workforce analytics function designed to support strategic decisions within a fast-growing, global company. The successful candidate will transform employee data into actionable insights to guide areas such as hiring, organizational design, retention, and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the people analytics function including frameworks, processes, tools, and reporting standards from foundation onwards.
- Lead analytics initiatives across headcount planning, retention, hiring performance, compensation analysis, and organizational health metrics.
- Create and maintain self-service dashboards and reporting tools for People teams and leadership to access meaningful workforce analytics.
- Analyze data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities linked to recruitment, employee engagement, organizational structure, and retention.
- Collaborate closely with People leaders and business stakeholders to support workforce planning, budgeting, and strategic growth.
- Translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable recommendations rather than basic reports.
- Standardize definitions, governance protocols, and data quality practices across HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and other people data sources.
- Work with technical teams to enhance data quality, accessibility, and reliability to support analytics efforts.
- Provide senior leadership with strategic insights to influence workforce-related decision-making.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in people, HR, or workforce analytics roles.
- Track record of developing or scaling people analytics capabilities in dynamic, fast-growing organizations.
- Proficient in SQL and experienced with analytics tools such as BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or equivalents.
- Ability to derive impactful insights that guide hiring, retention, organization design, and overall business strategies.
- Solid understanding of workforce metrics, compensation analysis, talent trends, and employee lifecycle analytics.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Autonomous in setting analytics priorities, building measurement frameworks, and delivering transformative solutions.
- Familiarity with systems such as Workday, HiBob, Ashby, Snowflake or similar platforms preferred.
- Background in industrial-organizational psychology, statistics, data science, or related fields is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability to ambiguity and rapid changes.
