Package Engineer - Project Management

Role Overview

The Package Engineer plays a crucial role in managing and executing specific project packages such as Boiler Structure, Pressure Parts, and Non-Pressure Parts within a comprehensive EPC project. Functioning under the guidance of the Package Manager, this position demands collaboration across engineering, procurement, construction, and quality departments to ensure all inputs are available and project milestones are met efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Package Manager in executing designated packages in line with schedule, quality standards, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate seamlessly with engineering, procurement, and on-site teams to guarantee timely access to necessary drawings, materials, and technical details.
• Monitor the progress of engineering submissions, manufacturing clearances, shipment dispatches, and site tasks related to the package.
• Identify potential execution delays or issues and promptly escalate for resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date tracking reports, dashboards, and other essential documentation for package oversight.
• Facilitate timely processing of vendor invoices to support customer billing and vendor payments.
• Follow up proactively with vendors and suppliers for submission of engineering drawings, quality assurance plans, and technical documentation.
• Oversee manufacturing progress and coordinate inspections, dispatch scheduling, and logistics across relevant functions.
• Collaborate with quality and logistics teams to organize inspections and ensure preparedness for material transfer to the site.
• Track and document vendor compliance with contractual commitments and technical standards.
• Assist in reviewing the technical specifications and scope of work for assigned packages.
• Support documentation related to changes, deviations, and claims for submission purposes.
• Contribute towards billing, certification, and cost monitoring activities for the package as required.
• Engage with client representatives, consultants, and site teams to obtain approvals and clearances.
• Coordinate technical queries and discussions with vendors, ensuring timely clarification and resolution.
• Promote open and effective communication channels between internal teams and external parties concerning package matters.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance plans and safety protocols during all stages of package execution.
• Assist in quality audits, inspections, and compliance assessments both at vendor facilities and construction sites.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective measures applied.
