Operations Officer

Role overview

The Operations Officer will be part of the Operations team in Dubai and will help keep daily banking processes accurate, efficient, and completed on time. The role works across departments to support smooth business flow while staying aligned with internal controls and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Handle transaction processing in the bank’s systems with accuracy and timeliness, covering money transfers, cheques, market-executed trades, corporate action activities, and trade confirmations.
• Oversee settlement activities on schedule, coordinating with brokers, banks, custodians, and other outside counterparties as needed.
• Keep system records up to date, protect data quality, and carry out recurring reconciliations to verify accuracy.
• Prepare and review operational reports on a regular basis, then identify opportunities to improve workflows and performance.
• Work with internal teams to address operational queries, resolve issues, and deliver strong client service support.
• Stay familiar with the bank’s internal procedures and applicable external rules, and help ensure all work complies with them.
• Contribute to bank technology and systems projects that aim to improve operational efficiency.
• Spot operational risks early and take steps to reduce or prevent them.

Skills and capabilities
