Operational Excellence Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking an Operational Excellence Lead to spearhead and manage Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives within our organization, promoting a culture of ongoing enhancement through effective training and coaching.

Key Duties

• Direct Lean and Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing variability and defects.
• Champion continuous improvement practices by delivering coaching and structured Lean/Six Sigma training.
• Implement Lean methodologies such as Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, Kaizen, and Visual Management.
• Monitor site performance metrics ensuring rigorous KPI stewardship.
• Guide structured problem solving and root cause analysis efforts to address process issues promptly.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to achieve cost savings and waste reduction.
• Lead change management endeavors to secure durable productivity enhancements.
• Develop standardized, robust business processes compliant with global Operational Excellence standards.
• Facilitate workshops and foster lean skill transfer to cultivate Lean leadership across the business.
• Apply lean techniques including value stream mapping, tiered processes, Strategic A3 thinking, Hoshin Kanri, poka yoke, Kanban, and more.
• Utilize various project management approaches such as Kaizen, Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum to drive rapid improvement initiatives.
• Take an active role in deciding corrective actions based on operational metrics and investigating root causes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record leading Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects.
• Experience fostering a culture of improvement through coaching and training.
• Hands-on expertise implementing Lean tools and methodologies.
• Strong capability overseeing performance metrics and KPI management.
• Competence in facilitating root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in cost and waste reduction initiatives.
• Experience in change management to ensure sustainability of improvements.
• Skill in building internal capabilities via Lean/Six Sigma training programs.
• Familiarity with global Operational Excellence standards and various lean toolkits.
• Proficient in project methodologies including Kaizen, Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum.
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops at all organizational levels.

Compensation

The salary for this role ranges from €75,000 to €92,000 annually, contingent on the candidate's skills and experience.
