Yellow Bridge is a reputable and values-oriented NDIS organization serving over 600 clients across the ACT, NSW, Victoria, and Tasmania regions. The company focuses on supporting individuals with psychosocial disabilities, complex needs, and assistance navigating the system through a collaborative model involving Support Coordination, Specialist Support Coordination, and Social Work.
Role Overview
We are looking for a committed Occupational Therapist to join our team. The role involves performing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs), preparing detailed NDIS progress and plan review reports, and providing capacity building supports targeted at enhancing daily living skills, executive functions, emotional regulation, and community engagement. The position includes recommending suitable Assistive Technologies and delivering strength-based, personalized interventions that address psychosocial challenges. The role requires close collaboration with Support Coordinators, Social Workers, and Recovery Coaches, and offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, combining community assessments with remote report writing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed Functional Capacity Assessments.
- Compile comprehensive NDIS progress and plan review reports.
- Provide capacity development support aimed at improving daily life competencies and emotional regulation.
- Recommend appropriate Assistive Technology options when necessary.
- Deliver client-centered interventions adapted to psychosocial needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including Support Coordinators, Social Workers, and Recovery Coaches.
- Operate within a hybrid work model balancing community visits and home-based report writing.
Candidate Requirements
- Current full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent report writing capabilities are essential.
- Strong familiarity with NDIS standards, guidelines, and reasonable and necessary criteria.
- Experience working with psychosocial disabilities is highly advantageous.
- Holds a valid driver's license and meets NDIS screening criteria.
