Network Inventory Planner

About the Role

Join a key national inventory planning position with direct impact on business success within the Asia Pacific region. The company operates in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore, supplying industrial products and engineering services to various industries. The role is based in Mt Wellington and Wiri in Auckland and supports a growth plan through 2027, focusing on building capabilities in supply planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize inventory levels across branch networks, national distribution centers, and regional hubs to ensure correct stock is positioned timely and cost-effectively.
• Analyze SKU sales performance, demand fluctuations, and supply lead times to establish appropriate inventory settings such as Min/Max and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP).
• Manage stock transfer among branches for improved availability and capital efficiency.
• Maintain pack-size rules and identify potential SKU rationalization options.
• Track various inventory metrics including availability, fill rate, turnover ratio, weeks of cover, and obsolete & excess stock.
• Monitor inventory investments and suggest improvements to return on investment.
• Extract and evaluate data from ERP, Warehouse Management Systems, and other business sources; design Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Work collaboratively with branch, inventory, and distribution center teams to resolve inquiries and support supply chain improvement initiatives.

Required Experience & Skills

• Background in inventory planning, supply chain, replenishment, or demand planning.
• Strong analytical abilities and a problem-solving approach.
• Effective communication skills across teams.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions and data analysis.
• Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems.
• A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and innovative thinking.
