About The Role
Imani Health seeks an experienced Network Engineer to facilitate the installation of our offline hospital IT system in partner hospitals and clinics. This position requires expertise in local networking and offline system deployment within hospital environments.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be adept at establishing dependable offline networks suitable for healthcare settings where internet connectivity is unreliable. Responsibilities include on-site network assessment, infrastructure setup, rigorous testing, and hands-on support during system deployment.
Key Requirements
- Proficient in LAN and WAN network configurations.
- Experience handling routers, switches, access points, and firewall setups.
- Strong understanding of IP addressing schemes, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, network security practices, and introductory server configuration.
- Competent in diagnosing and resolving hardware and local connectivity issues.
- Prior exposure to system setup in hospitals, educational institutions, offices, or enterprise contexts is advantageous.
- Dependable, practical, and comfortable with extensive on-site engagement.
- Skilled in documenting network architectures, config details, and troubleshooting processes.
- Basic familiarity with cloud technologies, local servers, databases, or offline-first application architectures considered a plus.
Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware brands such as Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, and Cisco.
- Fundamental knowledge of Mac, Linux, or Windows server environments.
- Experience managing backup solutions, networked printers, and local file sharing setups.
- Awareness of healthcare data privacy regulations and securing access controls.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and hospital management teams.
