Nanny

Role Overview

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Bulawayo Province, Zimbabwe, seeking a nurturing Nanny responsible for day-to-day care of children. The individual will oversee playtime, encourage learning activities, and ensure a safe and supportive atmosphere for the children.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Assist with feeding and prepare simple, child-friendly meals and snacks.
• Support children with basic hygiene routines to promote their well-being.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment in children's living and play spaces.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s routines, progress, and any issues.
• Build respectful and positive relationships with both children and their families.

Requirements

• Proven experience or skills in babysitting and childcare across various age groups.
• Genuine interest in working with children with knowledge or training in early childhood development.
• Basic cooking abilities to prepare snacks and meals suited for children.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and constructive handling of challenging behavior.
• Effective communication skills to engage with children and parents alike.
• Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness and organization in child areas.
• Previous employment as a nanny, childminder, or similar role is preferred.
• Relevant certification or training in childcare or early childhood development considered beneficial.
