Role Overview

This position is a full-time, on-site Medical Coder located in the Greater Aurangabad Area. Responsibilities involve reviewing clinical documents, assigning correct medical codes for diagnoses and treatments, and ensuring coding compliance with official guidelines and payer policies. The coder validates coded entries daily to confirm completeness, assists billing and reimbursement teams, and works closely with clinicians and administrative personnel to resolve documentation queries. Maintaining current knowledge of coding standards, participating in audits, promoting quality improvements, and protecting patient information confidentiality are essential functions.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience in medical coding with demonstrated proficiency.
• Solid understanding of Health Information Management, preferably with RHIT or similar certification.
• Well-versed in medical terminology and clinical documentation standards.
• Impeccable attention to detail, analytical capability, and aptitude for precise work under deadlines.
• Familiarity with ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and related coding frameworks and protocols.
• Experience using electronic health records systems and health information technology is advantageous.
• Possession of a diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related healthcare disciplines.
• Dedication to ethical coding practices, maintaining data confidentiality, and continuous professional growth in coding expertise.
