Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the meat department's cleanliness, organization, and zoning standards to ensure a welcoming and customer-ready environment at all times.
• Regularly rotate stock and remove expired or unsellable products to uphold quality.
• Verify that all products are accurately priced and labeled, adhering to company procedures for ordering, markdowns, clearances, and signage.
• Strictly follow food safety protocols and cold chain management, including monitoring temperatures, calibrating thermometers, properly handling products, and managing sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken by safely operating equipment including slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers, fulfilling special orders and maintaining display cases.
• Comply with all health and safety guidelines to preserve a hygienic and safe workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the store's operational needs and ensure consistent customer service.

Challenges in This Role

• Efficiently handle high workloads within a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, by planning effectively to maintain energy and focus.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
• Consistently perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and organizing duties while maintaining high attention to detail and store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $15.80.
