Role Overview
The Master Data Officer will be key in managing the creation, upkeep, governance, and ongoing enhancement of master data within the Finance Hub. This position ensures master data accuracy, completeness, and consistency, following governance standards to aid seamless business operations, accurate financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accurately create, update, and maintain master data records within specified service levels.
- Review and validate incoming master data requests ensuring full compliance and completeness.
- Conduct routine data quality assessments, validations, and cleansing to uphold high data standards.
- Generate reports and analyze data trends to identify risks and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, IT, and other departments to promptly resolve master data discrepancies.
- Support data governance protocols, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Contribute to process enhancement projects, including system upgrades and testing.
- Adhere to the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Requisition-to-Pay (R2P) or Order-to-Cash (O2C) Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business IT, Information Systems, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Master Data Management, Finance Operations, or Shared Services roles.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion, or SAP is advantageous.
- Solid analytical skills and ability to produce insightful reports.
