Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Technician at PerkinElmer located in Singapore, you will be responsible for meeting daily production targets aligned with the planned schedule and maintaining the quality standards specified in the work instructions. Your role includes supporting process productivity and product quality through effective recommendations and implementations. You will assist the Manufacturing Supervisor and line second-in-command (2IC) in managing a main production line and its associated sub-processes. Engaging in multi-skill training is essential, along with conducting training sessions for new technicians on the job.

Additional key duties involve gathering and compiling quality data for record keeping and engineering analyses, controlling production materials, and performing material cycle counts. Participation in workplace safety initiatives, 5S methodologies, and environmentally friendly activities is expected as part of your contribution to a safe and organized work environment. You will also be responsible for carrying out troubleshooting on instruments that fail testing, evaluating parts as per engineering requirements, and recommending cost-effective Return Material Authorization (RMA) rework solutions. Your role encompasses performing line 2IC duties and other manufacturing tasks as assigned by your supervisor to ensure smooth process operations.
