Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

This role is for a Manufacturing Engineer based in Wichita, KS, working onsite with eligibility restricted to US Citizens or Green Card holders. The position involves supporting aerospace production issues including non-conformance management on the shop floor, manufacturing of aircraft parts, repair process implementation, and coordination among engineering and quality assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering expertise related to aircraft parts and assembly, focusing on resolving nonconformance issues in aerospace structural components made of metallic and/or composite materials.
• Participate in the repair design process, interpreting drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
• Utilize tools such as CATIA V5 for design and engineering change management.
• Apply configuration management principles to maintain accurate design documentation and control changes.
• Knowledge related to fuselage, nacelle, and pylon aerospace products is considered an advantage.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong background in manufacturing engineering within aerospace production environments.
• Experience providing production support for aerospace parts including addressing nonconformance issues.
• Technical understanding of aircraft structures with expertise in metallic and composite materials.
• Familiarity with GD&T for manufacturing and quality control.
• Knowledge of configuration management practices and repair design processes.
