Manufacturing Engineer I

Overview

Oversee and enhance the quality and efficiency metrics of designated manufacturing lines. Foster ongoing improvements through process innovation, detailed root cause investigations, and structured problem-solving techniques, utilizing data sources such as CIQ and TARS.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently optimize line throughput and work to reduce downtime from changeovers by identifying common setup efficiencies.
• Analyze machine management data to increase utilization while minimizing scrap produced by equipment.
• Contribute ideas for cost reduction by streamlining manufacturing processes and systems.
• Develop and maintain profiles for wave and reflow soldering operations.
• Ensure process parameters fall within accepted tolerances to achieve solder quality aligning with IPC-610B or equivalent standards.
• Design or source production tooling, including stencils, vacuum plates, wave solder pallets, and customized fixtures or jigs for products.
• Manage line reconfigurations and equipment relocations, coordinating arrival, setup, and support services such as machine maintenance and facilities, following established communication protocols.
• Verify regular machine maintenance on assigned lines is completed per schedule.
• Promote transparent communication within the manufacturing engineering department and with supporting groups.
• Follow all applicable safety, health, and company security policies diligently.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree is preferred accompanied by one to two years of related professional experience, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
