Job description

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Associate in Assembly is responsible for operating within the manufacturing operations department, handling materials, tools, and equipment according to established procedures and documentation such as SOPs, batch documents, and manufacturing drawings. This role involves meeting operational performance metrics, ensuring product quality, and actively participating in process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage materials through proper usage, storage, processing, and control following approved procedures.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and tools in assigned operational areas in strict adherence to documented guidelines.
  • Achieve operational goals including efficiency, first-pass quality, yield, and documentation accuracy.
  • Oversee the performance of the manufacturing cell during assigned shifts ensuring optimal productivity.
  • Engage in teamwork initiatives and projects like audits, inspections, and process implementations within the manufacturing cell.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and efficiency across manufacturing processes.
  • Develop thorough expertise in molding processes, in-process inspection, assembly, and packaging as per training objectives.
  • Provide accurate reporting on department metrics and controls as assigned.
  • Execute all manufacturing and packaging in-process testing aligned with approved documentation and policies.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary following organizational changes or role developments.

Business Impact

  • Ensure compliant manufacture and production of all products.
  • Maintain line performance to meet production schedules and fulfill customer delivery requirements.

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Follow all safety standards, policies, and procedures during regular work activities.
  • Promptly report any near misses, accidents, or hazards to the respective manager or supervisor and document these events accordingly.
  • Demonstrate leadership by setting a positive example for safety compliance.

Quality Assurance

  • Adhere to quality standards, procedures, policies, SOPs, and all relevant documentation governing manufacturing operations.

Problem Solving

  • Address process deviations that may affect product quality or line efficiency through structured investigations.
  • Use root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Communicate effectively within the shift team, including leaders and technicians, about line status, performance, issues, and upcoming changeovers.
  • Participate in weekly communication meetings and training with active engagement and respectful dialogue.
  • Maintain open, honest, and courteous communication with colleagues, contractors, and visitors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possession of Leaving Certificate.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow written or verbal instructions and operate manufacturing equipment.

Preferred Experience and Attributes

  • Familiarity with CAPA, cleanroom operations, continuous improvement, GMP, EHS standards, press operations, packaging, labeling, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to make swift decisions and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Dedication to high-quality output, overcoming challenges, and effective execution.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning, skill enhancement, and knowledge sharing.
  • Commitment to maintaining personal energy and well-being during work activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills fostering collaboration and transparent communication.
  • Prior experience with molding highly favored but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.

Compensation Details

This position offers an estimated starting pay of €14.75 per hour. Remuneration is influenced by qualifications, location, internal equity, and market factors. Employees may also qualify for variable cash bonuses or commissions, and some roles have equity participation opportunities.
