Manual Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manual Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to develop, review, and execute detailed manual test plans, cases, and scenarios derived from business and functional specifications. The role focuses on validating healthcare-related software applications, ensuring adherence to industry standards such as HIPAA, CMS, FHIR, HL7, and ICD-10 where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive manual test strategies and plans.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support activities.
• Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Clinical Subject Matter Experts to comprehend business workflows and verify healthcare requirements.

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum of 7 years experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Proven experience testing enterprise-level web applications, particularly those built with Angular and .NET frameworks.
• Expertise in manual and automated testing approaches.
• At least 3 years of direct involvement in performance testing.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum development environments.

Functional Testing Expertise

• Test planning and strategy formulation.
• Executing regression testing.
• System integration testing proficiency.
• Supporting User Acceptance Testing efforts.
• Managing defect lifecycles effectively.
• Conducting root cause analysis of defects.

Performance Testing Skills Desired

• Familiarity with JMeter and LoadRunner tools.
• Ability to perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Experience with REST Assured and Swagger/OpenAPI specification.
• Competency in JSON and XML data validation.
• Experience with FHIR-based API testing.

Database Testing Knowledge

• SQL Server database testing including stored procedure verification.
• Backend data validation and testing.
