Role Overview
The Manager of Corporate Finance & Analysis plays a pivotal role in steering strategic financial planning at Abu Dhabi Airports by developing thorough long-term financial forecasts. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining dynamic financial models that facilitate scenario planning, stress tests, and capital allocation. A primary objective includes spearheading cost optimization to enhance overall profit and loss management. Additionally, the role leads the evaluation of business cases and manages investment appraisals to ensure sound decision-making.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Head the preparation and ongoing updating of long-term financial forecasts and five-year strategic business plans.
- Collaborate across departments to collect data, align planning assumptions, and integrate them into a cohesive business plan.
- Oversee capital expenditure planning and prioritize investments aligned with growth and operational needs.
- Develop and present financial projections, outlooks, and scenario analyses for internal stakeholders.
- Manage capital planning and resource allocation processes in support of strategic objectives.
Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Create and maintain complex financial models to assess various business scenarios, investments, and funding options.
- Perform sensitivity analyses, stress testing, and valuation assessments to guide strategic and operational choices.
- Track financial and operational KPIs to detect risks, identify opportunities, and analyze performance trends proactively.
Business Case Evaluation & Investment Appraisal
- Lead detailed review of departmental business cases, ensuring robust financial analysis, alignment with corporate strategy, and favorable returns.
- Carry out financial due diligence, including ROI, IRR, and payback period calculations for proposed projects.
- Evaluate risk factors, assumptions, and commercial feasibility to support approval processes.
Cost Optimization & Efficiency Improvements
- Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities and initiatives to boost efficiency organization-wide.
- Collaborate with department leads to challenge assumptions and monitor cost drivers.
- Enhance P&L efficiency through benchmarking and implementation of best practices.
Ad-Hoc Analysis & Executive Support
- Provide analytical insights for senior management on special projects and board inquiries.
- Conduct various financial analyses including cost, margin, pricing support, and break-even evaluations as required.
- Support the preparation of management presentations, dashboards, and other communication materials.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Collaborate with the HSE team to review risk assessments, ensuring understanding of key risks without direct field engagement.
- Advocate for safe working practices by promoting timely reporting of incidents and environmental concerns.
- Monitor team compliance with HSE procedures and escalate issues, coordinating corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
