About the Role
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to independently and collaboratively perform ongoing facility maintenance and repairs in line with established guidelines and protocols. This role involves hands-on tasks in the Environmental Services department at Golden West Centennial Lodge.

- Annual Base Hours: 2015 hours

Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair activities independently as well as collaboratively, adhering to WRHA policies and procedures.
- Manage building operations ensuring safety and functionality.
- Coordinate contract service requirements when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and promote a secure and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with staff and residents to foster positive relations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience in related trades or building operations management.
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
- Familiarity and compliance with legislation and regulations such as WHMIS, Workplace Safety, and Health standards.
- Physical capability to handle heavy equipment and perform tasks involving bending, working at heights on ladders, scaffolds, and confined spaces, and operating in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and conscientious about equipment safety and economy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security within the workplace.
- Completion and clearance of a Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check prior to employment. Costs incurred are the responsibility of the candidate.
