Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at JW Marriott Auckland, you will be responsible for responding promptly to guest repair requests, addressing minor plumbing issues like unclogging drains and fixing leaky faucets, and carrying out various small repairs such as tightening toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching wall defects. You will also conduct preventative maintenance of tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, while maintaining daily logs of operational, maintenance, and safety tasks. Effective communication with guests and customers to resolve maintenance concerns is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Address and repair minor maintenance problems efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order through routine preventive care.
• Document all maintenance and safety activities accurately on a daily basis.
• Liaise professionally with guests to resolve maintenance issues when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to company safety, security policies, and training requirements.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company property and confidential information.
• Interact cordially with guests following company hospitality standards and assist guests with disabilities.
• Establish positive working relationships with coworkers and respond appropriately to workplace concerns.
• Comply with quality standards and expectations consistently.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching overhead and below knees, lifting up to 50 pounds, using stairs, ramps, and ladders, and manipulating objects of various sizes.
• Complete other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
