Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic full-time Maintenance Team Member to join our team at Novotel Leeds Centre. This position supports the hotel's daily operations by conducting preventive maintenance, safety checks, and repairs, ensuring a high standard of guest comfort and safety.
Working Hours
Typical shifts take place between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, with flexibility required to accommodate varying days and hours based on business demands, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and safety inspections throughout hotel facilities.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
- Carry out general repairs such as basic plumbing, electrical tasks, painting, decorating, and carpentry.
- Inspect equipment, appliances, and systems to identify any faults or inefficiencies.
- Troubleshoot issues and complete minor repairs while adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
- Consistently observe hotel security, fire safety, and all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Assist guests with inquiries related to hotel facilities in a courteous and informative manner.
Candidate Profile
- Previous hands-on experience in maintenance work is essential, preferably in a hospitality or hotel setting.
- Practical knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Effective communication abilities and the capability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A positive, hands-on approach coupled with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
