Maintenance Planner

About the Role

Nestlé Canada is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their London, Ontario site. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs that enhance the reliability and performance of manufacturing assets. The role involves collaborating with various teams to implement efficient maintenance strategies, improve asset uptime, and promote safety and efficiency within the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and update master data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules, focusing on planning activities that mitigate unexpected equipment stoppages.
• Meet budget optimization goals and lead the upkeep of critical documentation systems.
• Engage in Total Performance Management (TPM) and participate in relevant work group initiatives.
• Comply with all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures, use of personal protective equipment, hazard analysis, and environmental standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support capital projects, acting as maintenance liaison in cross-departmental efforts.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or food processing environments preferred.
• Possession of a technical college diploma is required.
• Certification as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of CMMS software is essential; SAP experience is highly valued.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, and Power BI is necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including valves, cylinders, and pumps.
• Experience with Total Performance Management (TPM) is beneficial.
• Preference for candidates familiar with packaging equipment or food manufacturing settings.

Additional Skills

• Strong relationship-building capabilities both internally and externally.
• Effective project management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Nielsen and Canva tools is a plus.
