M&A Associate / Vice President

Role Overview

A prominent U.S.-based investment bank with a strong European advisory presence seeks a dedicated Associate or Vice President to join its Frankfurt M&A team. This role suits professionals with a solid history of managing live M&A deals, preferably within the Broader Industrials sector. The position offers involvement in notable domestic and cross-border transactions and requires close collaboration with senior bankers, corporate clients, and private equity stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side M&A deals, managing transactions from origination to completion.
• Create and analyze detailed financial models such as discounted cash flow (DCF), trading and transaction comparables, and leveraged buyouts (LBO).
• Develop pitch materials including presentations, teasers, information memoranda, and management overviews.
• Oversee due diligence efforts in coordination with clients and external advisors.
• Collaborate with senior bankers, corporate clients, and private equity investors throughout deal processes.
• Contribute to business development, sector coverage, and fostering client relationships.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 3 to 8 years of M&A experience within investment banking, advisory, or corporate finance environments.
• Demonstrated involvement in executing live buy-side or sell-side M&A transactions.
• Substantial familiarity with the Broader Industrials sector; related sectors may be considered.
• Advanced skills in financial modeling and valuation, including DCF, comparables, and LBO methodologies.
• Strong analytical reasoning, commercial insight, and communication capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage transaction workflows independently and operate efficiently under pressure.
• Fluency in German at C1 or C2 level and in English is mandatory.
