Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Licensing Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive licensing and appointment assistance to producers, managers, directors, partners, and carriers. This role demands an in-depth understanding of state compliance regulations, carrier rules, and appointment requirements to ensure adherence.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers by recognizing and fulfilling their needs.
• Handle processing of new license applications and renewals efficiently.
• Verify compliance with continuing education standards and guide as needed.
• Conduct follow-up actions on any issues related to non-compliance.
• Audit vendors to confirm they possess appropriate licenses.
• Address additional requests from Departments of Insurance promptly to facilitate license issuances.
• Advise licensees on updating resident, business, mailing, and email addresses correctly.
• Contribute to the development and revision of licensing guidelines and company policies.
• Engage in the industry licensing group via SILA to remain informed on licensing changes and trends.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• High attention to detail with exceptional multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Dedication to delivering superior service consistently.
• Proven track record of meeting departmental quality standards and goals.
• Capability to function effectively both independently and within a team setting.
• Ability to manage work effectively under pressure.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranges from $43,200 to $68,850 depending on experience and qualifications.

Physical and Technical Requirements

• Must be capable of operating a PC and other office equipment, with ability to sit or occasionally stand for long periods.
