Role Overview
The Learning Services Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Learning Services team by handling requests within the Learning Management System (LMS), conducting troubleshooting, generating reports, and consulting with clients. This position also supports GxP-regulated systems used by various functional areas such as clinical, biometrics, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, manufacturing, and quality assurance. The role reports to the Supervisor of Learning Services and aligns with a specific pillar within learning operations. The candidate should be available to work during Eastern Standard Time hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer LMS functions, including creating Instructor Led and On the Job Trainings.
- Develop and maintain complex curricula and program structures.
- Update and modify LMS content such as items, curricula, and programs as required.
- Manage learner roles and assignments directly within the LMS.
- Maintain accurate records of learning histories and pull relevant reports.
- Support audit activities by providing necessary information.
- Serve as the first point of contact for learner inquiries, resolving issues promptly or escalating when needed.
- Address and troubleshoot issues related to training courses.
- Collaborate with senior specialists to solve learner problems thoroughly and swiftly.
- Contribute to process improvements in ticket handling and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as necessary.
- Conduct shadow training sessions for new hires.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable combination of education and experience.
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience in learning, customer service, or human resources roles.
- Familiarity with Veeva Vault Training LMS or other Learning Management Systems.
- Preferred experience in GxP compliance and working with ticketing or case management systems (preferably ServiceNow).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Customer service mindset with eagerness to acquire new skills.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively within a high-paced work setting.
- Experience working in a human resources shared service center is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this professional role ranges from $27.88 to $36.18 per hour, determined by factors such as skills, experience, location, and company equity.
