Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead Project Manager to oversee the delivery of infrastructure-related projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed within agreed timeframes, budgets, and scope. This role entails comprehensive project management tasks including resource allocation, financial oversight, risk mitigation, and quality control, while coordinating with diverse teams to align technology solutions with corporate and client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure projects, maintaining adherence to scope, schedule, and financial parameters.
- Ensure compliance with project methodologies and standards, upholding high delivery quality.
- Develop detailed project plans encompassing schedules, quality assurance, budget controls, communication strategies, and risk management.
- Address and resolve challenges related to project scope, disputes, and integration of components.
- Supervise hardware, software, and system integration operations including migration and thorough testing phases.
- Manage project financials with accurate cost tracking and revenue forecasting.
- Monitor project implementation for adherence to timelines, budget limits, workforce deployment, and quality benchmarks.
- Swiftly remediate any project overruns or deviations.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership and customers.
- Optimize team resource mobilization to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Facilitate seamless project handover to operations, ensuring compliance with client expectations and procedures.
- Oversee project operations to maintain service levels, prevent financial penalties, and avoid security breaches.
- Manage contractual obligations, engage subcontractors, and coordinate vendors to drive project success.
- Engage relevant stakeholders effectively throughout project decisions and implementations.
- Build enduring client relationships by anticipating their needs and delivering beyond expectations.
- Negotiate and implement change control mechanisms, prioritizing business demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT operations, engineers, and external vendors.
- Manage scope, budget, and risks consistently.
- Work with government-approved vendors and navigate public-sector procurement processes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management to project teams, encouraging continuous improvement and fostering technical communication.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least seven years of project management experience specifically in IT infrastructure delivery.
- Proven ability to successfully lead complex infrastructure projects.
Required Skills (At least three of the following)
- Comprehensive knowledge of network and server infrastructure components including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, servers, storage, and middleware.
- Experience with WAN/LAN, Internet, voice, video, and structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Expertise in financial management for projects, risk assessment, and service transition processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing government sector projects in Singapore.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working with government-approved vendors and managing contracts.
- Knowledge of Singapore's government security and compliance policies.
- Understanding of data protection laws such as the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- Familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks.
- Proficient with project management software like Microsoft Project or Jira.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Skills in scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to adapt in dynamic work environments.
- Strong teamwork capabilities and effective communication in distributed teams.
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
- Certified Information Technology Project Manager (CITPM).
- ITIL certification for service management.
