Role Overview
The Kitchen and Laundry Technician position, based on-site in Neom, involves full-time responsibilities such as installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and conducting preventive maintenance on commercial kitchen and laundry equipment. The role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently through daily tasks including diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, replacing parts, performing routine inspections, and maintaining accurate service records. The technician collaborates with facility teams and supervisors, adheres to technical manuals and safety protocols, and supports efforts to enhance equipment reliability and performance. Additional duties include responding to emergency breakdowns, assisting with equipment upgrades, and keeping the work area clean and well-organized.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Hands-on experience in installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen and laundry appliances.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems related to facility and appliance equipment.
- Skill in reading and interpreting technical drawings, service manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures, and safe handling of electrical and gas-powered devices.
- Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting and accurate diagnostics.
- Basic computer literacy for maintenance documentation, work order management, and reporting.
- Good communication and teamwork capabilities to coordinate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and facility personnel.
- A relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, or a related discipline; experience in facility management or hospitality maintenance is beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Neom, adapt to operational changes, and participate in shift or on-call duties as required.
