Position Details

This janitorial role involves comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of designated areas within one or more buildings. Responsibilities vary according to client needs, so flexibility is essential to meet specific requirements on each assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain various floor surfaces via sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Use chemical cleaning agents and power equipment carefully to avoid damage to floors and furnishings
• Sanitize and monitor restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entryways
• Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal, including use of compactors when required
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using suitable materials and tools
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and assist with carpet shampooing and extraction processes
• Restock paper products and sanitation supplies regularly
• Adhere strictly to the established housekeeping timetable
• Operate heavy cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers as necessary
• Carry out additional assigned duties aligned with scope of work or customer requests

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or minimum six months of experience in a janitorial capacity
• Ability to learn on the job with provided training
• Strong attention to detail
• Capable of following instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
• Knowledge of custodial standards and commercial cleaning practices
• Familiarity with floor maintenance techniques, including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities upkeep is advantageous

Compensation and Work Schedule

This is a part-time or full-time position paying $15 per hour with weekly payment.
