Position Overview

This role involves comprehensive cleaning of various plant areas including the lunchroom, showers, locker rooms, workstations, walkways, and grounds. You will be expected to work efficiently, quickly, and accurately while maintaining safety and wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to Trojan Battery Company Quality Policies
• Operate cleaning machinery such as Nilfisk Vacuum, hydro-retriever, and sweepers
• Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment under supervision
• Carry out light maintenance tasks including painting walls and doors, carpentry, minor repairs, and replacing lighting fixtures across all areas
• Collect coveralls and towels for cleaning service pickup
• Use the cardboard compactor machine
• Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards
• Be available for various shifts including overtime
• Understand hazardous material specifications and labels

Mandatory Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or higher
• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Capable of working safely in a lead acid battery manufacturing facility
• Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds
