About The Team
The IT Services and Support team is dedicated to delivering efficient, dependable IT solutions company-wide. This includes frontline support, vendor coordination, equipment inventory management, and ongoing enhancements of processes and documentation aimed at improving the employee experience.
About The Role
As an IT Support Specialist, you will serve as the initial point of contact for diagnosing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and networking. Your duties encompass addressing incoming support requests, managing vendor interactions for procurement and maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvements in IT procedures and systems.
This position demands strong technical knowledge, particularly with macOS systems and preferably some experience with Windows. Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical personnel are essential. The role thrives in a collaborative and dynamic environment and is based in Mountain View, CA, requiring onsite presence five days a week. Relocation support is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance support workflows by partnering with diverse teams to identify improvements and develop repeatable procedures such as onboarding and device imaging.
- Collaborate closely with teams across departments including Security, Facilities, and People Operations to ensure smooth employee IT experiences.
- Provide frontline IT assistance by promptly troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues raised by employees.
- Oversee vendor relations concerning procurement, repairs, and maintenance, while maintaining updated inventories of hardware and software assets.
Preferred Skills and Qualities
- Deep technical expertise in macOS, with supplementary knowledge of Windows environments.
- Familiarity with identity and device management platforms like Azure AD, Jamf, and Intune.
- Experience using enterprise collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, and Atlassian products.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specifically in Mac and macOS contexts.
- Experience managing technical aspects of large events, specifically related to audiovisual equipment and setups.
- Motivated and self-driven approach with a keen attention to detail and high-quality output.
- A customer-oriented mindset able to clearly explain complex technical matters to varied audiences.
- Engagement in process optimization and vendor management; additional experience with mentoring, workflow automation through scripting or low-code tools, and IT project management are advantageous.
