IT Support Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer for a full-time onsite role in Dunedin, New Zealand. Their headquarters is located in Adelaide, Australia, and they serve multiple countries with onsite IT support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems.
• Install, upgrade, and re-image Windows operating systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
• Execute fundamental network troubleshooting within LAN and WAN environments.
• Configure and resolve issues on network devices such as routers and switches.
• Respond promptly to service requests while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, troubleshooting steps, and final resolutions.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to facilitate smooth IT service delivery.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or field services roles.
• Strong practical expertise in troubleshooting desktop hardware and software challenges.
• Sound knowledge of networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, routers, and switches.
• Experience with operating system deployment techniques, imaging, as well as break-fix support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong customer service orientation.
