Role Overview
The Investment Associate will be a pivotal contributor in implementing Cloud Capital’s investment strategy. This position encompasses assisting with sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments. It is a role that demands rigorous analytical skills and commercial acumen, with substantial involvement in platform investments, add-on acquisitions, and portfolio enhancement activities. The Associate will collaborate closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company management, gaining early responsibility in financial analysis, transaction execution, and portfolio oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research, analysis, and evaluation of financial statements, industry trends, technical data, and other relevant information for investment prospects, and communicate findings to investment team members.
- Build, review, and stress-test financial models to assess investment opportunities and determine valuations.
- Perform thorough due diligence processes on potential investments.
- Assess and interpret data from vendors, company management, and due diligence advisors to incorporate pertinent information into Cloud Capital’s investment evaluations.
- Support preparation and delivery of investment recommendations to the investment committee.
- Contribute to asset management tasks by analyzing inquiries from portfolio company directors and responding accordingly.
- Research future investment opportunities and help generate innovative investment ideas for the firm.
- Assist in fundraising initiatives by providing necessary support to the team.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possess between 1.5 to 4 years of professional experience within investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or debt advisory firms.
- Exhibit strong capabilities in research, financial modeling, analysis, and investment valuation.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present information clearly.
- Display excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities along with business relationship management skills.
- Have a strong attention to detail and ability to handle deadlines and pressure efficiently.
- Show interest in emerging trends in data demand and digital infrastructure sectors.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity throughout working engagement.
