Overview

Boeing Defence Australia is inviting applications for an Inventory Planner position at the MQ-28 Ghost Bat Production Facility under development in Wellcamp, Toowoomba, Queensland. Join a pioneering team building Australia's first military-designed combat aircraft in over 50 years at Boeing's inaugural final assembly site outside North America. This role offers a chance to contribute to advanced aerospace manufacturing and national defense capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory levels to satisfy daily production demands.
  • Serve as the critical coordination point between planning, production, supply chain, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory data and efficient management of inbound spare parts.
  • Support warehouse organization by analyzing storage locations relative to usage needs.
  • Perform root cause analyses on discrepancies or performance shortfalls and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular stock and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies or inventory variances.
  • Generate regular reports comparing stock holdings against usage requirements.
  • Coordinate transport bookings as required.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of warehouse procedures and standards.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced in inventory control, warehousing operations, or supply chain management.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skill set.
  • Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication abilities for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
  • Positive mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
