Inventory Analyst

The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for managing all Finished Goods within the logistics supply chain, ensuring compliance with inventory governance standards and accurate reflection of all physical inventory movements in SAP. This role involves investigating, resolving, and reporting inventory discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to Finished Goods quality standards according to DPO and VPO guidelines.
• Ensure Finished Goods inventory is precisely blocked in SAP, employing physical blocking mechanisms for quality-related and obsolete stock as per VPO/DPO protocols.
• Enforce compliance with freshness and rotation policies following VPO and DPO requirements.
• Accurately record inventory counts by quantity and Best Before Date (BBD) per SKU, with clearly displayed bin cards per DPO and VPO policies.
• Apply inventory concession policy with appropriate approvals aligned with VPO product age standards.
• Repack salvage Finished Goods according to VPO and DPO standards.
• Manage decanting of obsolete stock following established policies and procedures.
• Conduct independent inventory counts on all returnable containers, reconciling results with SAP data.
• Identify, investigate, resolve, and report unresolved inventory discrepancies.
• Escalate inventory differences to BLM, DCLM, and RLM accompanied by commentary and corrective action plans.
• Ensure all physical container movements are accurately transacted in SAP.
• Validate T1 & T2 movements and packaging receipts by line counters; verify write-offs against signed documentation and gate sheets.
• Process breakages, obsolete, and salvage stock with accurate SAP entries supported by appropriate sign-offs.
• Review and resolve all open shipments for T1 and T2 transactions.
• Timely process container claims with signed documentation to secure SAB reimbursements.
• Oversee review, approval, and sign-off of POC and T2 driver route settlement adjustments.
• Monitor SCO budget versus actual costs, reporting gaps and associated action plans.
• Ensure all documentation for inventory control, shipment records, and gate registers are signed, filed, and securely stored as per policy.
• Conduct security camera surveillance at critical site locations plus random verification activities.
• Perform independent three-point checks on all T1 and T2 shipments at departure and arrival points.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Sciences.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a stock control environment.
• Competence in MS Office applications.
