About the Role
CKL Planning | Surveying | Engineering | Environmental is inviting applications for an Intermediate Transport Engineer to join their Auckland office. This role involves engaging in a diverse range of transport-related projects, providing practical expertise from the feasibility stage through to consenting and detailed design phases.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparing transport assessments, technical documentation, and responses to consent applications.
- Conducting traffic engineering designs, including vehicle tracking, analyses of intersections, and road safety evaluations.
- Collaborating with clients, local councils, transport authorities, and other technical teams.
- Managing and delivering individual assignments while supporting overall project progress.
- Offering guidance and mentoring to junior team members as expertise grows.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess an engineering or planning qualification relevant to transport engineering and have approximately three to six years of practical experience in this field, preferably within New Zealand. Strong communication abilities, excellent technical judgement, and proficiency in report writing are essential. Candidates with experience using SIDRA, AutoTURN, and familiarity with transport consenting or design processes will have an advantage.
