HVAC Costing and Estimation Engineer

Overview

Synergy Air Systems, based in Ahmedabad, is hiring an HVAC Costing & Estimation Engineer to generate precise cost evaluations, prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), techno-commercial proposals, and manage tender submissions for HVAC-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and the capability to interpret project requirements, drawings, and specifications accurately.

Key Duties

• Examine tender documents, project drawings, specifications, and BOQs thoroughly.
• Develop detailed HVAC cost estimates covering VRV/VRF, DX, chilled water systems, ducting, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Compute material quantities based on drawings and specifications.
• Prepare BOQs, cost sheets, and project budgets effectively.
• Sourcing quotations from vendors and subcontractors efficiently.
• Create techno-commercial proposals and manage tender submissions systematically.
• Evaluate RFQs and client needs diligently.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and technical compliance.
• Ensure timely dispatch of quotations and tenders to meet deadlines.
• Analyze HVAC layouts, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, insulation, control systems, and accessories.
• Confirm adherence to project specifications and compliance criteria.
• Provide technical support to sales and project teams during discussions.
• Maintain detailed records of vendor quotes, quotations, and project estimates.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Project, Purchase, and Sales departments.
• Prepare comparative analyses and detailed cost reports.
• Assist in project transition from estimation phase to execution team smoothly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in HVAC costing, estimation, tendering, or project engineering.
• Preferred background includes HVAC or Mechanical contracting, MEP projects, and sectors like pharmaceutical, commercial, industrial, or healthcare projects.

Skills Required

• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems: VRV/VRF, DX, Chillers, AHU, FCU, ventilation systems.
• Expertise in BOQ preparation and quantity surveying.
• Strong ability in tendering and cost estimation.
• Vendor management and price negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good analytical thinking and commercial awareness.

Compensation

The offered salary ranges up to ₹30,000 per month, varying according to candidate experience and qualifications.
