Role Overview
This position is centered on HR operations and employee support, with responsibility for keeping core people processes running smoothly and compliantly. You will partner with internal stakeholders to manage employee lifecycle activities, maintain documentation, support performance processes, and contribute to a positive workplace experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle routine HR operational tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, employee updates, probation tracking, attendance administration, leave management, and HR approvals in internal systems.
- Draft, issue, monitor, and file employment contracts and other HR records, making sure information is accurate, compliant, and properly archived.
- Keep HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook current and improve them where needed to support effective and compliant operations.
- Coordinate probation reviews and annual performance cycles, collaborate with Team Leaders on KPI paperwork, and assist with performance improvement activities when necessary.
- Act as the main contact for employee HR questions, offering guidance on company rules, leave, benefits, attendance, and standard HR processes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, training coordination, internal communication, and culture-building activities that improve the overall employee experience.
- Deliver additional cross-functional support across HR operations as required.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in HR operations, HR generalist work, or a similar people-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle and familiarity with Australian HR practices.
- Well-developed organisational abilities and comfort managing several priorities at once.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal ability, and a proactive, service-minded approach.
- Careful attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
- Mandarin language skills are strongly preferred because of regular interaction with the China head office and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
