About the role
The Human Resources Recruiter will be responsible for helping the organization attract, assess, and hire the right talent for its staffing needs. This role covers the full recruitment lifecycle, from candidate sourcing through onboarding. The recruiter will work closely with department leaders to understand hiring needs, fill open positions efficiently, and support a hiring process that remains compliant with applicable employment laws and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will bring professionalism, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset. The position also requires the ability to work with confidential information, manage multiple priorities, and interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a similar field is preferred. At least 1 year of experience in HR, staffing, or recruitment is required. Candidates should be familiar with employment laws, hiring regulations, and industry best practices. Experience with benefits administration, employee onboarding, and employee relations will be considered an advantage.
Strong organization, attention to detail, discretion, and comfort handling sensitive information are essential. The role also requires proficiency with digital communication tools, applicant tracking systems, and standard office software. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate positively with diverse people and teams are important.
Responsibilities
The recruiter will plan and carry out hiring activities that help bring in qualified candidates. This includes writing and publishing job advertisements, reviewing applications, and conducting interviews. The role also involves partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements and shortlist candidates based on business needs.
Additional duties include arranging interview schedules, preparing interview documents, and taking part in interviews with leadership. The recruiter will present offers, support salary or terms discussions when needed, and guide new hires through onboarding. The position also includes conducting orientations for new employees and responding to employee questions.
Compliance responsibilities include ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, and confirming that all new hires meet required regulatory conditions before their start date. The recruiter will keep accurate HR records, maintain documentation in the HR system, attend job fairs and recruiting events, track staffing data, and prepare reports.
In addition, the role supports the creation and improvement of staffing policies and procedures, helps with internal transfers or role changes, and may assist with other HR functions as needed. Confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity must be maintained at all times.
