Role Overview

As a Houseparent, your key responsibility is to create and maintain a secure, welcoming home-like atmosphere for the young people. This involves ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and supportive – truly serving as a home from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and plan fresh, healthy meals, upholding the organisation’s Healthy Living Award standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in living rooms, bedrooms, and communal areas to create an inviting environment.
• Assist with laundry duties, manage inventory, and uphold hygiene protocols.
• Collaborate effectively within a team focused on prioritising the welfare of young people.

Candidate Profile

• Previous practical experience in cooking, cleaning, or housekeeping, whether at home or in settings like hospitality, care, or education.
• A positive and approachable attitude with a readiness to provide support.
• Capable of operating both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience in care is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Possession of a driving licence is desirable but not a requirement.

Employment Details and Working Hours

This full-time position typically involves a 37-hour workweek from Monday to Friday. Occasionally, weekend shifts may be required depending on service needs.
