Role Overview
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant, you will be an essential member in maintaining a clean and homely environment that supports the dignity and comfort of our residents. This role goes beyond cleaning; it's about creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere for residents, their families, and colleagues.
Daily Responsibilities
- Deliver thorough cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, communal spaces, laundry, and kitchen areas.
- Handle laundering, careful folding, and returning of residents’ clothing and linens.
- Label, mend, and care for residents' personal laundry items diligently.
- Assist with infection control practices and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Foster friendly and respectful interactions with residents, understanding their individual needs.
Working Hours
- Two permanent positions available.
- Position one: Four days on, two days off.
- Position two: Two days on, four days off.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably within healthcare or hospitality sectors.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
- Physical capability to stand and work actively throughout shifts.
- Interest in aged care is desirable; comprehensive training will be provided.
