Position Overview

Joining a premier Horizon North camp facility, this full-time role has a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, with 10-hour shifts. Transportation to the remote site is provided from a designated pickup point. You will report to the Head Housekeeper and Lodge Manager, responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness throughout the lodging facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections and clean over 30 rooms per day, adjusting according to guest occupancy.
  • Provide thorough housekeeping services in guest rooms and hallways.
  • Change bed linens weekly or as required and make beds.
  • Vacuum and dust furnishings and blinds in rooms and corridors.
  • Clean, sanitize, and scrub bathrooms, windows, and mirrors.
  • Handle garbage and recycling removal from all sleeping areas.
  • Wash, fold, load, and unload towels, linens, and bedding.
  • Maintain accurate bedding inventory records and report shortages to management.

Candidate Qualifications

  • At least six months of janitorial or housekeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
  • Preferred experience in remote lodge settings or hotel/institutional environments; commercial cleaning experience is an advantage.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate as a team member.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Successful completion of the mandatory WHMIS test with a minimum score of 80%.
