Group Financial Controller

Overview

Our client, a significant Irish enterprise experiencing rapid growth through organic expansion and acquisitions, is seeking a Group Financial Controller for their Dublin West offices. This role offers career progression aligned with the company’s global transformation and expansion initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all group external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and regulatory frameworks for annual and interim financial statements.
• Lead and coordinate the group audit process and supervise statutory reporting for various subsidiaries internationally and locally.
• Manage the monthly close procedures and consolidation of management accounts.
• Enhance balance sheet monitoring, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and uphold robust governance standards across the group.
• Implement improvements in reporting processes, systems, and internal controls prioritizing standardization and automation.
• Contribute to mergers and acquisitions by handling acquisition accounting and integrating financials post-transaction.
• Lead and mentor a team of qualified accounting professionals.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), with foundational training at a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in an industry setting; this role is not suitable for candidates newly transitioned from practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas including IFRS, consolidation processes, statutory reporting, and control environments.

Additional Details

Position is based in Dublin West with hybrid working arrangements requiring a minimum of three days onsite weekly. Salary is dependent on experience, estimated between 2,000 to 1,400 monthly plus package benefits.
