Role overview
This opportunity is for a client based in New York City, NY. The position sits within a growing engineering team and centers on building complete web products from the interface through to the server side. You will work on reliable, high-quality applications and partner with design, product, and engineering colleagues to shape user-focused solutions.
What you’ll do
- Create and maintain end-to-end web applications across frontend and backend layers.
- Develop polished user experiences and scalable backend services.
- Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver dependable products.
- Tackle complex technical problems across the stack.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional full-stack development experience.
- Strong command of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with contemporary frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, Go, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and modern web architecture patterns.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL data stores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving ability.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Background building scalable SaaS products.
- Understanding of authentication, security, and performance tuning.
- Interest in AI-driven products or modern web technologies.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $240,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, the package may include competitive equity or bonus opportunities, comprehensive health coverage covering medical, dental, and vision, generous paid time off and holidays, and professional learning and development support. The work environment is collaborative, innovative, and based in New York City.
